Sophie’s Special Gift
Beginner · ≈ 1 min story · 1 min read
When Grandma gives Sophie birthday money, everyone in the family has an idea for how to use it. After thinking it over, Sophie buys flowers and chocolates for her mom to thank her for everything she does, and discovers that giving to someone you love feels wonderful.
It was Sophie’s birthday, and her grandma gave her some money. “What should I do with it?” Sophie wondered. Her cousin said, “Buy yourself a doll!” Dad said, “Save it in your piggy bank.” Grandpa suggested, “Give it to charity.” Then Mom smiled and said, “Why not buy something special for someone you love?”
Sophie thought for a long time. She wanted to show her mother how much she loved her and how thankful she was for everything Mom did. So Sophie bought flowers and chocolates with the money and gave them to her mother. Mom smiled warmly, and Sophie felt very happy too.
