Leo was a lonely golden dragon who dreamed of marrying a kind princess. But whenever princesses saw his huge wings, sharp horns, and fiery breath, they became frightened and ran away. One day, Leo sat sadly beside a river. A young woman named Clara was nearby, and Leo politely asked, “Could I have some water?”
“Of course,” Clara said, handing him some.
Leo blinked in surprise.
“Aren’t you scared of me?”
Clara smiled. “Why should I be? Just breathe gently into my face.” Leo did as she asked. Suddenly... Clara began to change. In moments, she had become a dragon too. Leo stared in amazement. Clara explained, “My mother was a dragon and my father was human. I can only become a dragon when I meet another dragon.”
Leo could hardly believe his luck. At last, the lonely golden dragon had found his very own princess.
