Long ago, when dogs still lived in the forest, a little puppy loses his family and must hide from a tiger. At the edge of the forest, a kind young shepherdess named Emma finds him, feeds him, names him Max, and gives him a loving home.
Long ago, dogs lived in forests and did not have special names. One little puppy lived there with his family. One day, wild animals attacked. The puppy escaped, but he lost his family. Alone and frightened, he wandered through the forest, hoping to find somewhere safe. Then he saw a tiger nearby.
The puppy quickly hid in the tall grass and stayed very still. When the tiger moved away, he crawled forward until he reached the edge of the forest near a village. There, a young shepherdess named Emma was returning home with her sheep. She spotted the tired puppy and gently picked him up.
“Oh, you poor little thing,” she said.
Emma took him home, gave him food and water, and kept him safe. She named him Max and made him her pet. For the first time in a long while, Max was no longer alone. He had found a loving home.
