The Little Mermaid

Roma is a mermaid with a magical singing voice. When a storm wrecks a young prince's ship, she pulls him safely to shore and slips away before he wakes. Longing to see him again, she trades her beautiful voice to a sea witch for a pair of human legs. She finds the prince and becomes his close friend, but without a voice she can never tell him she loves him, and one day she learns he is to marry a princess. Heartbroken, Roma returns to the sea, where a soft light is glowing far below the waves and a mysterious Water Fairy is waiting to call her toward a magical world called Fairyland.
Once upon a time, there lived a beautiful mermaid named Roma. She lived deep beneath the sea. And she had something very special... A lovely, magical voice. Roma loved to sing among the waves and colorful sea creatures. One night, a terrible storm swept across the sea. The waves became huge. The wind blew fiercely. And in the middle of the storm, Roma saw a young prince struggling in the water. “Oh no! He is drowning!”
Roma quickly swam toward him. She pulled the prince through the waves and brought him safely to the shore. She stayed beside him until he was safe. Then, before he could wake up... Roma quietly swam away. When the prince opened his eyes, he was lying safely on the shore. He looked around, but Roma was nowhere to be seen. The prince returned to his castle.
But Roma could not stop thinking about him. “I want to see the prince again.” So she went to a sea witch who had magical powers. Roma begged the witch to help her. “Please! Turn my fish tail into human legs so I can meet the prince again.”
The sea witch smiled. “I will give you human legs... but I want your beautiful voice in return.” Roma became quiet. “My voice?” The witch nodded. Roma thought about the prince. Then she agreed. The magic began. And suddenly... Roma had human legs. But her beautiful voice was gone. She could no longer sing. Still, she went to find the prince. When the prince saw her, he took her to his castle.
Soon, they became very good friends. Roma was happy to be near him. But there was one thing she could never tell him. She loved him. She wanted to speak... but no words came out. One day, Roma discovered something terrible. The prince was going to marry a princess. Roma's heart broke. She had given up her beautiful voice... and still, she could not tell the prince how she felt.
She slowly walked back to the shore. She looked at the castle one last time. Then she looked at the sea. With tears in her eyes... Roma jumped into the sea. The waves closed around her. But Roma did not know that something magical was happening beneath the water.
Far below the waves, a soft light began to glow. Someone was watching her. A gentle voice whispered... “Don't be afraid, little mermaid.” Roma looked around. Who was there? The light grew brighter... And from somewhere deep beneath the sea came the sound of magical water. Roma had never seen anything like it before. She didn't know it yet... but the mysterious visitor was connected to a magical world called Fairyland. And there, a very special competition was about to begin.
Who was the mysterious Water Fairy? And why had she come to the sea? The answer was waiting in Fairyland... moral: We should think carefully before giving up something precious for something we want. True friendship and love should be built on honesty, kindness, and understanding.
