Three pig siblings set off to build homes of their own. When a hungry wolf comes knocking, they discover that patience and hard work are what keep them safe, and that the strongest home is worth the wait.
Once upon a time, not too far from a rolling green meadow, there lived three little pig siblings named Benny, Daisy, and Milo.
Oh, they loved having fun together.
They chased butterflies through the grass, rolled down little hills, and laughed from morning until bedtime.
But one day, Mama Pig called them over.
"My little piglets," she said softly, "you're growing up now. It's time for each of you to build a home of your own."
The three piglets listened carefully.
"And remember," Mama Pig added with a gentle smile, "take your time and build wisely. A strong home can keep you safe when unexpected troubles come knocking."
The piglets hugged their mother goodbye and set off on their adventure.
Now Benny loved playing more than working.
Before long, he found a big pile of hay.
"Perfect!" he said. "This will only take a minute."
And it did. Soon, Benny had a little hay house.
"All done! Now I can spend the rest of the day having fun."
Meanwhile, Daisy decided to work a little harder.
She gathered sticks and branches and carefully built a wooden house. It took longer than Benny's house, but when she finished, she smiled proudly.
"It's not bad at all," she said.
Milo, however, had a different idea. He wanted a house that would stay strong no matter what.
So he searched for sturdy bricks. One by one, brick by brick, he carefully built his home.
It took many days. Sometimes he felt tired. Sometimes he wanted to stop. But he kept going.
And when it was finished, it was the strongest house in the meadow.
Now, little one, can you guess who arrived one evening?
That's right. A hungry wolf.
As the sun dipped low and painted the sky golden orange, the wolf wandered into the meadow looking for something to eat.
Soon, he spotted Benny's little hay house. He walked up to the door.
"Little pig, little pig," he called, "let me come in."
Inside, Benny's ears popped up. "No, not by the hair on my tiny chin!" he replied.
The wolf took a very deep breath. He huffed, and he puffed, and he puffed some more.
WHOOSH! The hay house flew apart like leaves in the wind.
"Oh dear!" cried Benny. And off he ran as fast as he could to Daisy's wooden house.
A few moments later, the wolf arrived there too.
"Little pigs, little pigs," he growled, "let me come in."
Benny and Daisy stood close together. "No, not by the hair on our tiny chins!" they answered.
The wolf took an even bigger breath. He huffed, and puffed, and puffed and puffed.
CRACK! Down came the wooden house.
Now both piglets were frightened. They raced across the meadow and hurried to Milo's brick house.
Soon enough, the wolf arrived once again. This time he stared at the strong brick walls.
"Little pigs, little pigs," he growled, "let me come in."
But inside, Milo stayed calm. "No, not by the hair on our tiny chins."
The wolf puffed out his chest. He huffed. He puffed. He huffed again. He puffed again.
The brick house didn't move. Not even a tiny bit.
The wolf tried harder. And harder. And harder still. But the sturdy brick house stood strong.
Finally, the wolf's shoulders slumped. He was very tired.
With one last grumpy growl, he turned around and disappeared into the forest.
The three piglets peeked through the window. When they were sure he was gone, they smiled.
Benny learned that rushing through important work isn't always the best idea.
Daisy learned that doing a little extra can make a big difference.
And Milo learned that patience and hard work are often worth the effort.
From that day on, the three siblings spent their days together in the strong brick house. They played games, shared meals, and told stories, laughing just as they always had.
Only now, whenever the wind whispered outside at night, they felt safe and cosy inside their sturdy home.
And as the stars twinkled above the meadow, the three little piglets drifted off to sleep, warm, happy, and together.
The End.
